We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Break. It was so nice to be off work and just spend time with Eric and family :) Several of my friends posted a little Q & A about Thanksgiving and it was cute so I decided to follow on as well.
#1 : What do you look forward to more: the food, the football, or the parades?
A: THE FOOD OF COURSE! Sweet potato casserole, banana pudding, dressing, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole...well you get the idea, it is all delicious. Do I sit down and watch football with the boys. Sure I do, although not as nearly passionate about it as they are.
#2 : What is your favorite non-traditional Thanksgiving day dish.
A: Well that depends on your definition of non-traditional. My favorite is chess bars! Amazing delicious sweet gooey deliciousness. At my house we don't really do pies (not because of myself, I wouldn't mind a few pies.) However, my family not so much. No pies for us. So we make chess bars!!! Delicious!
#3 : After dinner is it a nap or football?
A: Neither, we play Krazy Bee Rummy! Best tradition ever, although sometimes I need a nap.
#4 : What are your Thanksgiving Traditions?
A : Well aside from the aforementioned, every Thanksgiving afternoon my sister and I go to Old Navy and buy matching Christmas pajama pants :) Best tradition ever.
#5 : What is your favorite Thanksgiving Day dessert?
A: Chess bars of course...followed closely by Banana Pudding!
Thanksgiving Day was awesome. The whole break was awesome and relaxing. Eric and I started it off by watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Eric went on a hunt for us for actual Wonka Bars, which Walgreens used to sell, but alas we did have our own chocolate bars to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
I had fun seeing my family ( I have missed them.) Shh don't tell them. I really missed my little sister. She is growing up so quick. I can't believe she is almost 16!
Garasen was happy to see me, solely so he would have someone new to ramble onto about football...and so he could tell me he wanted a 90" TV for Christmas....I am glad he thinks of me as that rich.
I was really excited to see Grammy. I never realized exactly how much I would miss her. What am I going to do when I move hundreds of miles away.
Our first Thanksgiving Picture together!
I got to see Nicole and Rachael on Black Friday morning at IHOP. We three couples all went out. It was nice to spend some time with people our age and see old friends :)
We also had Rachel and Connor over and spent time with them ( I am not sure why I didn't snap a picture) Mini fail for me.
We also got to eat with the Koonces and my sister during the break!
Did you see the cuteness? In the purple dress? Did you see her! I can't believe she has grown so much!
Over Thanksgiving break, I got my first official piece of mail with my new name on it! Exciting times!
Needless to say, it was a great break!!! The pictures should speak for themselves!
